Accessibility Statement
1. Our Commitment
daflash LLC is committed to ensuring that the JCove platform is accessible to all people, including those with disabilities. We believe that every person deserves equal access to digital services, and we are actively working to meet and exceed accessibility standards.
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA as published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).
2. Current Conformance Status
The JCove website is designed with the following accessibility features implemented:
Perceivable
- All non-text content has appropriate text alternatives;
- Color is not used as the sole means of conveying information;
- Text color contrast ratios meet or exceed WCAG 2.1 AA minimums (4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text);
- Text can be resized up to 200% without loss of content or functionality;
- Decorative content is hidden from assistive technologies using
aria-hidden.
Operable
- All functionality is accessible via keyboard navigation;
- A visible skip navigation link is provided for keyboard users;
- Focus indicators are clearly visible for all interactive elements;
- No content flashes more than three times per second;
- Page animations respect the
prefers-reduced-motionmedia query — users who have requested reduced motion receive a static experience.
Understandable
- The primary language of each page is declared in the HTML
langattribute; - Hebrew-language text is marked with
lang="he"; - Form fields have associated, visible labels;
- Required fields are identified with
aria-required; - Error states and confirmations use
aria-liveregions to inform screen reader users; - Form submission confirmation is announced via a polite live region.
Robust
- HTML is valid and well-structured with appropriate semantic elements (
nav,main,footer,section,article,ol,ul,dl,fieldset,legend,blockquote); - ARIA roles, properties, and states are used correctly and where native semantics are insufficient;
- Interactive elements have accessible names via
aria-labelor visible labels; - The platform is tested with keyboard navigation and is compatible with modern screen readers.
3. Known Limitations
We are aware of the following areas currently under improvement:
- Mobile screen reader optimization: We are continuing to test and refine the experience on iOS VoiceOver and Android TalkBack;
- Complex animations: The star field background animation in the hero section, while decorative and aria-hidden, is undergoing review for performance on low-power devices;
- Third-party content: Google Analytics scripts are loaded asynchronously and do not affect page accessibility, but are not under our direct accessibility control.
4. Technical Specifications
JCove is built with the following technologies:
- HTML5 with semantic markup;
- CSS3 with responsive design and media queries;
- Vanilla JavaScript (no accessibility-blocking frameworks);
- Google Fonts loaded with
font-display: swapto prevent invisible text during font load.
The platform is designed to be compatible with:
- Current versions of Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge;
- NVDA and JAWS screen readers on Windows;
- VoiceOver on macOS and iOS;
- TalkBack on Android.
